The Apartment

This cosy 3.5-room holiday apartment (approx. 60 m²) offers space for 2–4 guests. Two bedrooms, a generous living room with dining table, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower are at your disposal. The private terrace with garden seating invites you to linger, and a private parking space is included as well.
In summer there is a bike rack for the sporty, in winter a ski rack.

- The apartment is strictly non-smoking
- The apartment is only partly step-free
- We cannot provide equipment for small children (high chair, cot etc.)
- Dogs / pets only by prior arrangement
- No parties / stag or hen celebrations

Location

Mühlebach belongs to Ernen and lies in the Upper Valais, at the lower end of the Goms valley, high above the Rhône. It can be reached by train (station: Fürgangen-Bellwald) across the suspension bridge, which is cleared all year round, or by road from Fiesch, where the postbus runs as well. Even in winter the Valais can be reached with the car-carrying trains (nearest: Furka car transport), while in summer the journey leads over magnificent mountain passes.

Ernen/Mühlebach is part of the Binntal Nature Park, a regional nature park of national importance. The village lies at around 1200 m above sea level on a sun terrace facing the Aletsch Arena.

Getting There

Chalet Murmeli is located in Mühlebach (in the Goms valley, Upper Valais) and is easy to reach by car and by train in every season.

• By carThe nearest motorway exit is in Brig, a 20–30 minute drive away. In summer we recommend coming over the Furka, Nufenen or Grimsel pass and then driving through the Goms valley. In winter the alpine passes are closed, but the car-carrying train runs from Realp near Andermatt to Oberwald. A private parking space belongs to the apartment.
• By trainFrom Fürgangen-Bellwald station (with SBB or the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn) Chalet Murmeli is a scenic walk of some 10–15 minutes across the Goms Bridge. The bridge is cleared in winter and is open to bicycles too. Coming from Fiesch, the postbus also serves Ernen/Mühlebach; the nearest stop is 180 m away (in winter the ski bus departs from there).
• Nearest airportZurich, approx. 3 hours' drive.

Visitor's tax Binntal Nature Park: adults CHF 3.50/day, children (aged 6 to 16) CHF 1.75/day
Bed linen / towels / kitchen linen: CHF 20 per person / stay (not charged if you bring your own)

Minimum stay 7 nights in the winter high season, 4 nights in the summer/autumn high season, 3 nights in the low season.
Changeover day is generally Friday; other days may be possible on request.
Check-in from 4 pm, check-out until 10 am.

Cancellation terms:
Up to 31 days before arrival: handling fee of CHF 100
30–14 days before arrival: 50%
13–7 days before arrival: 75%
Less than 7 days before arrival / no show: 100%

Payment terms:
CHF 100 on booking.
The remaining amount at the latest 30 days before arrival, or immediately for bookings made less than 30 days before arrival.
